An honest shortlist of the software development companies operating in Abu Dhabi in 2026. Web apps, mobile, custom enterprise platforms — who's best for SMEs, who's best for enterprise, who delivers UAE-compliant builds with the proper PDPL handling baked in.

"Who builds custom software in Abu Dhabi?" gets a long list of answers in 2026 — and most of them won't fit your project. The right vendor depends on whether you're an SME wanting a focused build, a government entity needing sovereign hosting, or an enterprise mid-way through a digital transformation.
This shortlist covers the 10 software development companies actually delivering projects in Abu Dhabi in 2026 — companies you can meet in person, with engineering teams on the ground. We've excluded pure offshore vendors visiting from India / Eastern Europe without local accountability; those work for some projects but aren't right for most UAE compliance contexts.
Project size dictates almost everything. Under AED 25,000 you're in template-website territory — almost any of these vendors can do it, but you're overpaying. AED 50,000-500,000 is custom web-app territory — this is where the comparison matters most. Above AED 1M is enterprise platform territory — only a few of these vendors are credible there.
Best for: government and enterprise digital transformation at nation
scale.
Skip if: you're an SME — engagement model and pricing assume Tier-1 clients.
Injazat (now part of G42) builds large-scale government and enterprise software for the UAE. Strong on cloud migration, custom platforms, and managed services. If you're a ministry, a Tier-1 bank, or a national champion, this is the conversation. SMEs will find the engagement model heavy.
Best for: enterprise IT including software delivery alongside infrastructure.
Skip if: you need a pure-play software house — they're an integrator, not a code shop.
Alpha Data is one of the oldest IT integrators in the UAE. Strong for enterprise software delivered alongside infrastructure (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft) — basically if your software project also needs servers, networks, and licensing. Less right for greenfield SaaS or mobile-first products.
Best for: SaaS products, marketplaces, mobile-first builds.
Skip if: you need deep enterprise integration or compliance-heavy projects.
Code Brew Labs is a popular mid-market software house in the UAE. Strong on mobile-first apps, marketplace platforms, and SaaS products for startups and SMEs. Typical pricing AED 100,000–500,000. Less strong on enterprise integrations with legacy SAP/Oracle or on compliance-heavy regulated workloads.
Best for: mobile-first apps and AI-augmented products.
Skip if: you need a pure-web enterprise platform.
Apptunix is similar profile to Code Brew — mobile-first, app-led, with AI capability bolted on. Strong portfolio of consumer and B2B apps in the UAE. Typical pricing AED 150,000–600,000.
Best for: web design, brand-led builds, marketing sites.
Skip if: you need heavy backend logic or enterprise platforms.
Branex is positioned more as a design-led web agency than a pure software house. Strong for marketing sites, e-commerce, and brand-driven product pages. Less right for complex business logic or multi-role enterprise platforms.
Best for: blockchain, fintech, NFT marketplaces.
Skip if: you don't need those specific specialisations.
Suffescom is a regional player with strong specialisation in blockchain and fintech software. If your project is a tokenised platform, crypto exchange, or NFT marketplace — they're a credible call. For mainstream software, they're not specialised.
Best for: volume mobile-app development, multi-platform builds.
Skip if: you need a low-volume, deeply-customised build.
Hyperlink InfoSystem operates a large delivery team that handles many UAE app projects each year. Process-driven, predictable timelines, less bespoke than smaller shops. Good if your project is in the well-trodden category (delivery app, marketplace, booking app); less right if it's truly novel.
Best for: enterprise web modernisation, Salesforce + custom integrations.
Skip if: you don't already have a Salesforce / enterprise ecosystem.
Algoworks is strong on enterprise web app modernisation, especially for organisations already invested in Salesforce, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics. If your project is "extend our enterprise stack with custom workflows," they're a fit. For greenfield SaaS, less so.
Best for: small to mid-size custom builds, SME-friendly engagement.
Skip if: you need enterprise-grade compliance audit trails.
Pixelmate is one of several mid-market UAE software houses serving SMEs with budgets in the AED 50,000-250,000 range. Process-light, fast turnaround, fits well for non-regulated business apps.
Best for: UAE SMEs and mid-market wanting custom software alongside IT,
smart home, or ELV infrastructure.
Skip if: you need a Big-4-style strategy consultancy or a single-discipline
specialist.
Disclosure: this is our company. We're a multi-discipline integrator that handles software development alongside IT infrastructure, smart home automation, ELV, and AI. Our typical software project runs AED 5,000 (information sites) to AED 500,000+ (enterprise platforms). Best fit for SMEs where the software is one part of a wider technology project. Honest framing: if your project is software-only and you have a clear spec, the specialists above may quote tighter. Where we add value is across-discipline coordination.

For projects under AED 25,000 — typical information websites and small marketing sites — most of the vendors on this list will do the work, though several would prefer larger engagements. Pixelmate and Skyline are explicitly SME-friendly at this tier. Below AED 5,000 you're in template-builder territory (Wix, Squarespace, Webflow) rather than custom development; that's a different category.
For enterprise software with PDPL/compliance requirements and budgets above AED 1M, the credible names are Injazat, Alpha Data, and (for sector-specific work) Algoworks. Smaller mid-market shops can build to the same technical bar but usually lack the procurement and compliance posture enterprise clients demand. Plan to issue an RFP and run a 4-6 week shortlist.
Information website: 1-3 weeks. Company brand website: 4-10 weeks. Custom web app (lower-mid): 12-20 weeks. Custom web app (enterprise-grade): 20-40 weeks. Mobile app (MVP): 12-20 weeks. Mobile app (production): 20-30 weeks. Add 4-8 weeks for PDPL/sector compliance review on regulated builds. The single biggest variance driver is scope creep, not technical complexity.
Hybrid wins for most UAE clients. The product manager, technical lead, and compliance owner should be UAE-based (or have heavy UAE working-hour overlap). The build team can be offshore for cost reasons, but the local lead does daily reviews and quality control. Pure offshore without a local lead is the single biggest source of failed UAE software projects.
You should — your contract must specify 'work for hire' with full IP transfer on payment. Demand a git repo with full commit history at completion (not just a zip). For projects above AED 200,000, agree a code-escrow arrangement with a UAE escrow provider so the source is held by a third party if your developer ever becomes unreachable. Standard practice; reputable vendors include this by default.
Pay for a separate, fixed-fee discovery phase before signing the build contract. Costs AED 8,000-25,000 and produces a written spec, wireframes, data model, and build estimate within ±15%. Without it, projects routinely overrun by 40-60%. With it, overruns drop below 15%. Vendors that resist a paid discovery phase are usually the same vendors whose projects overrun.
